Question of the Month Results
In the last issue of NMCI
News, we asked you to respond to the following
question:
"What is the most challenging
trend you are facing as a diversity
practitioner?"
Below is a summary of your
responses:
-
Employers see training
as key to improving diversity awareness, but are
cutting training budgets.
-
Pressure to shift from
focusing on topics closely tied to power and
privilege to a broader approach (e.g. "diversity is
broadly defined, including personality traits,"
etc.).
-
Unrealistic expectations
for training impact.
-
Lack of
opportunities/support for ongoing learning
activities.
Thanks to all of you who
responded! We will be using your responses to
develop future articles, tools and institute
workshops. Please take a moment to respond to this
month's survey! |
