Spring 2008 Institute Program Information Online!  

Detailed program information for NMCI's 25th Anniversary Annual Diversity Leadership Development Institute, Envisioning the Future: Cultural Identity in the Global Age, is now available online!  Institute brochures will be arriving in early February.

The 25th Annual institute features:

Community Forum new!

In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, NMCI will convene a very special forum to explore the meaning of "community" in the context of a global society.  Through dialogue, we will seek to identify not only what it means to be part of a global community, but also the knowledge and skills required to flourish in such an environment.

Four-Day Training Workshops 

Four-day training workshops offer participants opportunities for intensive skill-building based on NMCI's tested curricula and expertise.  Four-day workshops include Training of Trainers I & II, Developing Strategic Diversity Initiatives, and Conflict Resolution.

Two-Day Training Workshops 

Two-day training workshops offer participants opportunities for focused skill-building on diversity and inclusion for specific topic areas and/or industry sectors.  

1 1/2 Hour Workshops new!

1 1/2 hour workshops offer participants opportunities to engage in dynamic conversations on current topics in the field and to share real-world models for organizational change. Short workshop topics include Generational Diversity, Unconscious Bias, Spirituality in the Workplace, Microinequities and case studies of organizational change.

Opportunity for Educators - People to People Exchange to China
 
People to People Announces Educational Equity and Social Justice Delegation to China

Ms. Tasha Lebow, immediate past president of the National Association for Multicultural Education, invites you on a unique overseas cultural and professional exchange opportunity.

People to People Citizen Ambassador Programs is coordinating a delegation of professionals specializing in multicultural education who will travel to China from December 7-19, 2008.

The delegation will combine educational activities and meetings centered on multicultural education in China with cultural activities highlighting the sights and sounds of the country. Delegates will enjoy an insider's view of the education system in China and experience the culture in ways that most travelers never do, from a walk along the Great Wall to observing professional counterparts in their element.
